Der Sempachersee befindet sich ca. 18 km nördlich von Luzern. Der See ist rund 6,5 km lang und beherbergt zwei Ruderclubs, der Seeclub Sursee und der Seeclub Sempach. Der See wird oft von Nationalmannschaften als ideales Trainingsgewässer genutzt. Sehr oft herrschen auf dem Sempachersee "Rotseebedingungen".
