Die Pisa (polnisch ausgesprochen mit s wie ß) verbindet die Masurische Seenplatte mit dem Narew und damit mit der Weichsel (Nord-Süd-Verbindung). Der Fluss mäandriert stark (Außenwinkel oft mehr als 270° bis 360°) und bietet genug Breite zum Rudern. Das Steuern verlangt zumindest auf der nördlichen Hälfte Konzentration und Können. Die Landschaft ist bis auf wenige Splittersiedlungen nahezu menschenleer, Zeltplätze gibt es nicht (Biwakieren oder Durchfahren in einem Zug. Die Landschaft ist reizvoll, der Fluss hat Ähnlichkeit mit der Warnow im oberen Teil.
