Der Brienzersee ist bekannt dafür, dass er relativ wenig Wind und Wellen aufweist, da er durch Berge vor Wind geschützt ist. Am Ufer entlang besteht ein Fahrrad- und Wanderweg, der beispielsweise bei Wanderfahrten eine gute Alternative für angeheiratete oder befreundete Landratten ist.
Morgens ist das linke Ufer oft schattig und kalt, sobald aber die Sonne auch dort erscheint wird es schnell warm und zur Not kann auch auf die "Sonnenseite" ausgewichen werden.
